What people are saying about The Lord Byron Inn

Summary
4.6

Overall a very nice stay - Rating 4/5

The staff were all very helpful, efficient and courteous. Our evening meal and breakfast was well prepared, presented and well cooked using good quality ingredients. The room was comfortable albeit a little basic and tired. It was quiet but the outside lights were a little bright and thus somewhat intrusive in the night.

An enjoyable experience! - Rating 5/5

We stayed for two nights to attend hospital and view Cambridge, the Inn was ideally situated for both. The Inn was quaint like stepping back in time with its log fire, and low beam ceilings. All the staff and Landlady were welcoming, friendly and informative on the area of Cambridge. We ate at the inn both evenings and enjoyed the quality of the hot food on offer (including my GF diet). The breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared not kept warm as our experience of the large hotels. The accomodation of terraced style chalet, ensuite rooms similar to motel style although small, were more than ample for our needs - clean, warm with comfortable twin beds and reasonable size shower room. We will be happy to rebook on any visit we make to Cambridge in future.

Fabulous welcome - Rating 5/5

When you have to travel long distance to access the expertise of staff at Addenbrookes Hospital, this location is ideal. Handy for hospital, City Centre and lots to do locally the Lord Byron Inn is warm, clean with fab breakfasts. The evening meals are good too.

Good pub for food and an overnight stay - Rating 5/5

Stayed overnight as my wife had an early appointment at Addenbrookes hospital. No complaints whatsoever all good. Only one small issue, Mat to bathroom, could do with being replaced, becoming a trip hazard.

Strange - Rating 4/5

We like staying at the Lord Byron, we like the location as it's a nice walk into Cambridge and Grantchester which is lovely.Breakfast was nice and the staff where lovely. We will always stay there, but we where in Room 2 and in the early hours every night someone was stomping around a room above us. This morning at 2.30, the noise was unbelievable as in somebody moving furniture etc and dropping stuff on the floor. I don't know if staff live above the Annexe, but if they do they need to consider the people below. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had this happen to them ?
